Project Description

Developed for RidgeWind Limited, Engena undertook the Environmental Impact Assessment, producing the subsequent Environmental Statement.

As well as the EIA, our scope of work included the site design, identification and design of the access route, management and co-ordination of the public consultation, appearance at local meetings and live radio debates. At public inquiry, Engena co-ordinated the inquiry team, negotiated common ground, and provided project support during the event.

Consented at appeal, the project employs a novel sea-barge delivery of principal turbine components to the sea wall. This involved negotiations with the Environment Agency and Crouch Harbour Authority.

Notable Achievements

Novel sea delivery route achieved through multiple consents and consultees; agreement of access route for aggregates with representatives of the parishes; delivery of project in highly charged local situation.
