Project Description

Following Screening and Scoping (exercises undertaken by Engena) we were closely involved with designing the scheme for a combined renewable energy and storage site. This involved detailed design of the arrangement of the respective technologies and careful consideration of the sensitivities associated with a cross-border development.

Engena managed the project through design, EIA, pre-planning, consultation and submission.

Submission was made to Powys (as lead council), and Shropshire in February 2017.

Notable Achievements

Identification of a suitable access route to site in an area with a challenging highway network.

Collaboration with multiple planning authorities through project design and production of application documents in dual language (English and Welsh).
